Semprius
Developer of micro-transfer printing technology for concentrating solar photovoltaic (CPV) modules
Overview
Semprius is in the High-Concentration Photovoltaic (HCPV) industry, developing printing technology that has potential for low-cost and high output PV cells. It plans to use this technology, along with concentrating optics and sun-tracking, to manufacture low cost solar modules at high efficiencies. In January 2012, Semprius set a new world record for high-concentration solar module efficiency at 33.9% (active area). It also claims to have the world's smallest solar cells.
